국제갤러리의 이혜림 작가가 글라스트레스 베이루트(Glasstress Beirut) 전시에 참여한다. 스톡홀롬 조각공원 박물관, 라트비아 국립미술관, 뉴욕 아트 디자인 박물관 등 세계 유수의 미술기관들이 주최하는 순회 전시로서 본 전시는 현재 레바논에서 열린다. 이혜림 작가를 포함하여 국제적인 활동을 기반으로 하는 작가들이 초대되었고, 최초로 베이루트 전시 센터(BEC)에서 선보이는 전시라는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.
이번 전시는 아랍세계와 지속적인 문화 교류에 있어 중요한 시작으로서, 어떻게 전통이 과거, 그리고 현재와 만나 풍부한 문화적 예술적 담론을 생성할 수 있는지 보여준다. 이외에도 레바논 출신의 작가 마야 카조운(Marya Kazoun)과 나빌 나하스(Nabil Nahas)도 새로운 설치 작품으로 본 전시에 참여한다.

Kukje Gallery’s Hye Rim Lee is participating in Glasstress Beirut. Glasstress has become a traveling event hosted by such major international museums as the Millesg?rden Museum in Stockholm, the Latvian National Museum of Art - R?gas Bir?a, Latvia, and at New York Y Museum of Arts and Design (MAD), and now it has arrived in Lebanon. Including Hye Rim Lee, prominent international artists have been invited to Glasstress Beirut, and it is a special occasion for which their works will be shown for the first time atthe Beirut Exhibition Center (BEC).
This opportunity represents an important beginning for what is hoped to be a lasting exchange with the Arab world, showing how tradition and the past can create a fertile discourse with the present by bringing together seemingly distant cultures. The Lebanese artists Marya Kazoun and Nabil Nahas will showcase their new installations for this occasion.
