국제갤러리의 양혜규는 4월 13일부터 7월 6일까지 KAI 10에서 개최하는 그룹전 <The Stubborn Life of Things>에 참여한다. 이번 전시는 일상생활에 쓰이는 사물들로부터 형성되는 에너지와 통제할 수 없는 삶의 은밀함 등을 이해하는데 주력한다. 또한 양혜규 작가를 포함한 6명의 국제무대를 기반으로 활동하는 작가들, 한스피터 펠트만, 소피아 헐튼, 모니카 스트리커 등 이들의 영상, 설치, 조각 및 사진 작품은 보는 이로 하여금 사물의 세계로 빠져들게 할 뿐만 아니라 옷걸이, 자동차, 벽 타일 등과 같은 일상적인 오브제가 지니는 복합적이고 다양한 역할을 상기시키는데 주력한다.

Kukje Gallery’s Haegue Yang participates in the group exhibition entitled The Stubborn Life of Things at KAI 10 from April 13th through July 6th, 2013. This exhibition seeks to comprehend an uncontrollable secret life and formative energy of objects in everyday use. Haegue Yang and the other five international artists allow us to dive into the world of things through their videos, installations, sculptures, and photographs. The works encourage us to rethink the roles of clothes racks, automobiles, wall tiles, etc. as accomplices in human acts of all kinds.
