국제갤러리 정연두 작가는 삼성미술관 리움 그라운드갤러리에서 개최되는 그룹전 <MISE-EN-SCENE 미장센: 연출된 장면들>에 참여한다. 본 전시는 영화적인 도구를 활용한 총 8명의 국내외 작가들의 작품을 소개하며 현대미술에서 장면연출이 지닌 의미를 찾으려 한다. 특히 정연두 작가의 신작은 유명한 영화의 한 장면을 재구성한 것처럼 보이지만 이 자체가 만들어 낸 환영을 보여주고 있다. 이러한 연출사진은 허구를 실제처럼 표현하는데 목적이 있는 것이 아니라 연출장면의 제작과정을 의도적으로 노출하여 사실과 허구의 관계를 드러내는데 주력한다.

Kukje Gallery's Yeondoo Jung is participating in a group exhibition entitled "MISE-EN-SCENE" at Samsung Museum of Art, Leeum. This exhibition highlights the definition of scene direction within contemporary art, through the works of 8 participating artists who applied cinematic tools into their work. Yeondoo Jung's new work shows a restructured film scene that creates its own phantom at the same time. His directed photography does not aim to express a faction as real but rather focuses on exposing the relationship between truth and fiction by intentionally showin gthe processes of making.
