아니쉬 카푸어는 6월부터 10월까지 파리 베르사유 궁의 정원에서 개인전을 개최한다. 베르사유 궁은 2008년부터 매년 국제적인 현대미술 작가를 선정하여 전시를 개최한바 있다. 대표적인 참여작가로는 국제갤러리의 이우환을 포함 필립파레노, 장 미셀 오또니엘이 있으며 매년 동시대에서 주목 받는 주요한 작가를 선정해왔다. 이번 전시는 베르사유 정원 내 테니스 장, 테라스와 같은 다양한 장소에 “Sky Mirror”를 비롯하여 “Shooting into the Corner", “Dirty corner”등 그의 대표작을 설치하여 17세기에 디자인된 클래식한 정원 내에서 관람객들로 하여금 실험적이고 새로운 공간을 경험하도록 도모 한다.
Anish Kapoor presents a solo show from June to October at the gardens of Versailles. Since 2008 Chateau de Versailles has organized major exhibition of works by the renowned contemporary artists on the palace grounds each year. The artists who have exhibited here include Lee Ufan, Philippe Parreno, and Jean-Michel Othoniel. Invited this year is Anish Kapoor who presents his well-known works, Sky Mirror, Shooting into the Corner, and Dirty Corner, in the garden including Tennis court and terrace; the works will “disturb the geometry” of 17th century garden and create new balance of the space.
