국제갤러리의 김홍주, 이광호, 김기라는 성곡미술관에서 열리는 <Korea Tomorrow 2015> 그룹전에 참여한다. 한국 미술의 현주소를 보여주고 방향성을 제시하기 위해 2009년부터 시작된 이 전시는 올해 소문자 알파벳 “i”를 타이틀로 하여 ‘나’를 둘러싼 ‘세상’을 다양한 시점으로 살펴보는 기회를 마련한다. 김홍주는 추상적이고 섬세한 붓터치로 사실적인 회화를 재현한 ‘Untitled’ 작품을, 이광호는 지난해 국제갤러리 전시를 통해 선보였던 제주 곶자왈을 극사실적으로 표현한 작품을 전시한다. 김기라는 김형규 감독과 공동으로 작업한 비디오 작업을 선보인다.

Kim Hong Joo, Lee Kwang-Ho, and Kira Kim will participate in the group exhibition Korea Tomorrow 2015 at the Sungkok Art Museum. A project initiated in 2009 to present the contemporary art now and its direction, the title of this year’s exhibition is the lowercase “i” for a chance for the “me” to see the “world” with various perspectives. Kim Hong Joo presents Untitled, an abstract painting of a figurative drawing with meticulous brushstrokes, and Lee Kwang-Ho presents his hyper realistic depicting Jeju Island’s Gotjawal previously shown at an exhibition at Kukje Gallery last year. Kira Kim presents a video piece in collaboration with director Hyungkyu Kim.
