국제갤러리 이현숙 회장은 2015년 제47회 대한민국문화예술상을 수상한다. 문화체육관광부(장관 김종덕)가 발표한 ‘2015년 문화예술 발전 유공자' 총 32명 중 이현숙 회장은 대한민국문화예술상의 문화일반 부문에 이름을 올렸다. 이현숙 회장은 “국내외 작가들을 해외에 소개함으로 문화외교관으로서 가교역할을 수행하고, 현대 미술을 주도하는 화랑을 운영하면서 세계적인 네트워크 구축과 신진작가 발굴을 후원”한 공적을 인정받아 2015년 수상자로 선정되었으며 대통령 표창과 함께 1천만 원의 상금을 수여하였다.

Hyun-Sook Lee, founder of Kukje Gallery, has been named a recipient of the 47th Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award. Announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Kim Jongdeok) the founder and chairwoman of Kukje Gallery is one of thirty two recipients awarded the 2015 Person of Merit, Development of Culture and Arts citation. Hyun-Sook Lee’s award is in the General Culture sector. The official announcement lauded Chairwoman Hyun-Sook Lee for her role “introducing both domestic and international artists overseas as an active cultural ambassador, while operating a leading contemporary art gallery, and developing a global network and supporting the recognition of emerging artist.” Lee was honored with the 2015 Presidential Citation and a 10 million won prize.
