장 미셸 오토니엘은 2015년 9월부터 2016년 2월 26일까지 미국 샌프란시스코의 온실식물원 Conservatory of Flowers에 그의 작품 ‘바람의 장미 La Rose des Vents’를 설치한다. 보스턴 이사벨라 스튜어드 가드너 미술관에 이은 이번 전시는 샌프란시스코 예술위원화와 샌프란시스코 여가활동국의 후원 및 비영리 예술갤러리 836M의 협업으로 개최된다. 같은 기간 동안 샌프란시스코 시내에 위치한 836M 갤러리에서 신작 ‘작약, 수줍음의 매듭 Peony, the Knot of Shame’ 와 함께 프랑스 파리 베르사유 궁전 정원에 설치된 ‘아름다운 춤 Les Belles Danses’ 작품의 스케치와 수채화 작업들을 전시하며 자연에서 영감을 받은 오토니엘의 예술세계를 소개한다.

Jean-Michel Othoniel installs La Rose des Vents at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers from September 2015 to February 26, 2016. Following his exhibition at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston, this exhibition opens in partnership with the San Francisco Arts Commission and the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and non-profit gallery 836M. At 836M, Othoniel’s new work Peony, the Knot of Shame is shown along with his sketches and watercolours for Les Belles Danses, his installation at the Palace of Versailles in France.
