김수자의 작품세계를 담은 다큐멘터리 <움직이지 않는 여행 Le Voyage immobile> (2012 / 26 min.)이 프랑스 파리 루브르 박물관에서 열리는 제9회 <세계에술영화주간 Journees internationales du fim sur l’art>에서 상영된다. 세계 예술영화들의 흐름을 조명하기 위해 매년 약 일주일간 개최되는 이 행사에서 프랑스의 영화감독 Gilles Coudert가 제작한 다큐멘터리들은 29일 수요일 2시 30분부터 차례대로 소개된다. 그가 2012년 촬영한 <움직이지 않은 여행>은 김수자의 대표적인 작품인 ‘바늘여인 Needle Woman’, ‘보따리Bottari’, ‘뭄바이:빨래터 프로젝트 Mumbai: A Laundry Field’ 등 한국의 전통적인 모티브를 담은 비디오작업과 프로젝트들을 조명하면서 작가의 예술적 여정을 쫓는다.

Le Voyage Immobile (2012/ 26 min.), a documentary that embodies Kimsooja’s artistic journey, will screen at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France on Wednesday January 29th at 2:30 PM. This screening will take part in the 9th International Days of Art Films (Journees Internationales du Film sur l’Art), an annual celebration highlighting the global trend on art films. This documentary produced by Gilles Coudert follows Kimsooja’s artistic practice, featuring her major works Needle Woman, Bottari, and Mumbai: A Laundry Field, along with other video works and projects that portray traditional Korean motifs.
