국제갤러리 구본창은 3월 31일부터 5월 21일까지 프랑스 파리의 갤러리 카메라 옵스큐라에서 2인전 을 갖는다. 본 전시의 제목은 정물화의 영문 표기인 ‘Still Life’를 불어로 직역한 단어에서 차용하였으며, 미술사에서 오랜 역사를 지닌 ‘정물’을 주제로 다양한 일상 사물들을 사진에 담은 구본창과 이탈리아 출신의 작가 스테파노 비앙키 (Stefano Bianchi)의 작품들을 선보인다. 비앙키는 모란디와 유사한 분위기로 정물을 촬영한 작품을 소개한다. 생활에 밀접한 병, 그릇 등을 촬영한 사진작품으로 한국 도자의 미감을 보여주는 구본창은 <곱돌>시리즈와 <백자>시리즈를 전시하며, 오는 14일에 열리는 ‘작가와의 만남’에 참석할 예정이다.

Koo Bohnchang will participate in the two-person photography exhibition Vies silencieuses at the Gallerie Camera Obscura in Paris, France from March 31 to May 21, 2016. The title is the literal translation in French of the English phase “still life.” Italy-born Stefano Bianchi will display photographic works of still objects, similar in mood to the works of Giorgio Morandi. Koo Bohnchang will delight us with his Gobdol and Baekja series, works displaying the beauty of Korean ceramics used in daily life such as jars and bowls. Koo will participate in the artist talk held on April 14, 2016.
