From April 16 to June 26, 2016, Choong-hyun Roh will participate in April the Eternal Voyage, a group exhibition commemorating the second anniversary of the Sewol Ferry Disaster, at the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art in Ansan, Korea. This memorial exhibition was conceived with the nature to console and support the families and friends of the victims as they strive to resume their normal lives. Through the artists’ works, the twenty participating artists will question the fundamental role of art by embracing the collective anger, fear, sorrow, and pain that the Sewol Ferry Disaster brought, and question the role of art in an era where sympathy is disappearing. Choonghyun Roh, known for constructing dialogue through the portrayal of alienated and desolate places, will present four works including Two Walls and Swing.
