국제갤러리 김수자는 5월 10일 오후 7시부터 8시 30분까지 미국 쿠퍼유니온에서 스크린 상영과 대담회를 갖는다. 평론가 스티븐 헨리 마도프 (Steven Henry Madoff)는 <A Needle Woman: Galaxy was a Memory, Earth is a Souvenir>(2014)를 포함한 김수자의 최근작들에 대해 논의할 예정이다. <A Needle Woman: Galaxy was a Memory, Earth is a Souvenir>(2014)는 나노 과학자 울리 와이즈너와 건축가 정재호와 협업으로 만들어진 높이 14 미터의 무지갯빛의 나노 폴리머 강철 구조물로 2014년 코넬 대학교의 첫 비엔날레에서 발표되었으며, "Kimsooja: Collaboration on Campus—Nanotechnology and Contemporary Art" (2015)라는 제목의 다큐멘터리로 Art21에서 방영된 바 있다.

Kimsooja holds a pubic conversation at The Cooper Union in New York on May 10, 2016 from 7pm to 8:30 pm. Critic Steven Henry Madoff will discuss Kim’s recent and past works, including A Needle Woman: Galaxy was a Memory, Earth is a Souvenir (2014), an iridescent polymer and steel structure standing 46 feet tall, the result of a collaboration with both architect Jaeho Chong and nano scientist Ulrich Wiesner of the Wiesner Nanomaterials Lab at Cornell University. The event will include Art21’s recently released documentary film on the project, Kimsooja: Collaboration on Campus-Nanotechnology and Contemporary Art (2015).
