국제갤러리의 안젤름 라일은 베를린 소재의 컨템포러리 파인 아트(Contemporary Fine Arts, 이하 CFA)의 새로운 공간에서 개인전 을 개최한다. 미술계를 떠났다가 2년만에 돌아와 컴백전시를 여는 안젤름 라일은 이전에는 다루지 않았던 매체인 <세라믹> 시리즈의 신작들로 이번 전시를 구성한다. 1950년대와 1970년대 사이 서독에서 발전된 도자 양식과 관련이 있는 팻 라바(Fat Lava) 양식의 대담한 색채와 눈에 띄는 광택처리를 이용하였으며, 일본의 세라믹과 동양 사상에서 영향을 받아 도자기의 목이나 본체에 갈라진 틈과 기형을 그대로 살린 점이 특징이다. 전시는 4월 29일부터 6월 25일까지 진행된다.

Anselm Reyle holds a solo exhibition Keramik at Contemporary Fine Arts (CFA) new space in Berlin, Germany. With this exhibition, Reyle makes a comeback with new works, a series of ceramics which is a new medium for the artist, after leaving the art world for two years. The vases are handmade in the style of Fat Lava, a form of glazing developed in West Germany during the 50’s and 70’s characterized by bold colors and striking glazes, and hold cracks or deformities in the body or neck influenced by Japanese ceramics and Eastern philosophy. The exhibition will be on view from April 29 to June 25, 2016.
