김수자는 미국 뉴욕에 위치한 비영리 예술기관 노 롱거 엠프티(No Longer Empty)에서 5월 21일부터 7월 17일까지 개최되는 그룹전 에 참여한다. 가정집이나 무역로였던 빈 상점가를 활용한 공간에서 장소에 반응하는(site-responsive) 예술 작품들을 주로 선보여온 노 롱거 엠프티는 기관이 위치한 퀸즈의 자메이카 지역을 주제로 그룹전을 기획하였다. 전시제목 는 자메이카 인디언(Jameco Indian)에서 차용하였으며, 자메이카 지역의 이주민 커뮤니티의 이야기들과 관련된 과거와 현재에 대한 반응을 23여명의 작가들의 비주얼 아트와 퍼포먼스 작품으로 보여줄 예정이다. 김수자는 (2002)작품을 출품한다.

Kimsooja participates in the group exhibition Jameco Exchange at No Longer Empty, a non-profit art organization in New York, from May 21 to July 17, 2016. No Longer Empty, known for displaying site-responsive artworks in private homes and empty shopping districts, organized this group exhibition focusing on the region of Jamaica, Queens, where the organization is based. The title Jameco Exchange was borrowed from the term Jameco Indian – the exhibition, presented by 23 artists, focuses on the stories from the past and present immigrant community in the region portrayed through visual artworks and performances. Kimsooja presents her artwork Deductive Object (2002).
