국제갤러리의 칸디다 회퍼는 6월 13일부터 7월 3일까지 쾰른의 SK 문화재단(SK Stiftung Kultur) 산하 Die Photographische Sammlung에서 개최되는 그룹전 에 참여한다. 이는 독일 유형학 사진의 대가로 작년에 작고한 힐러 베허 (Hilla Becher)에게 헌정하는 전시로, 힐러와 베른트 베허 부부는 권양탑, 용광로, 냉각탑과 같은 산업 건축물을 사진으로 기록하며 당시 신즉물주의와 초현실주의 등 주요 사조들을 반영한 개념주의 사진의 선구자로 잘 알려져 있다. 이번 전시에 참여하는 47명의 작가들은 베허 부부를 사사하거나 그들에게 주요하게 영향을 받은 ‘베허 스쿨’ 1세대 작가들로 특별히 힐러 베허와 연관이 있는 작품들을 선정, 출품하며, 칸디다 회퍼는 1978년작 을 전시한다.

Candida Hofer participates in the group exhibition The Typological View– An Exhibition for Hilla Becher at SK Stiftung Kultur in Köln, Germany, from June 13 to July 3, 2016. The exhibition is dedicated to Hilla Becher, master of German typology photography who passed away last year. Hilla and her late husband Bern Becher, well known pioneers of conceptual photography, captured industrial buildings such as winding towers, blast furnaces, and cooling towers. 47 artists of the 1st generation “Becher School” and who stood in personal exchange with Bernd and Hilla Becher were asked to select a few representative works in relation to Hilla Becher to exhibit.
