양혜규는 베를린 갤러리 현대미술관의 IBB 비디오 스페이스에서 열리는 《12x12》 전에 7번째 작가로 참가한다. 베를린 갤러리는 2016년 동안 미디어 필름과 영상 작품을 혁신적으로 다뤄 온 12명의 작가들을 한 달에 한 명씩 소개하며 동시대의 비디오 아트를 살펴보고자 한다. 국제갤러리 양혜규는 6월 29일부터 7월 25일까지 서울과 프랑크푸르트, 암스테르담, 런던에서 2004년부터 2006년까지 제작한 삼부작 <Unfolding Places>(2004), <Restrained Courage>(2004), <Squandering Negative Spaces>(2006)과 추석연휴 동안 텅 비어있는 서울의 거리를 담은 <Holiday Story>(2007)를 선보인다.

Hague Yang participates in the exhibition 12x12 at the IBB Video Space in Berlinische Galerie, from June 29 to July 25, 2016. Twelve artists who have drawn attention to themselves with innovative use of the media film and video were invited to the Berlinische Galerie to present works of contemporary video art. The project showcases works from one artist each month. Haegue Yang, the seventh artist to be selected, displays a trilogy from the period 2004 to 2006 - Unfolding Places (2004), Restrained Courage (2004), Squandering Negative Spaces (2006) – shot in Seoul, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London. Holiday Story (2007) was taken in Seoul during Chuseok, a public holiday and one of the quietest days in the year. Yang shows Seoul’s deserted streets and visualizes a moment of total standstill.
