국제갤러리의 김소라는 2016년 8월 27일부터 11월 20일까지 아트선재센터에서 개최되는 전시 《커넥트 1: 스틸 액츠 – 김소라, 이불, 정서영》에 참여한다. 올해 처음으로 열리는 ‘커넥트’ 시리즈는 아트선재센터의 역사와 소장품 연구 프로젝트로써, 김소라, 이불, 정서영 작가가 선정되어 1998년부터 2004년까지 개인전을 통해 선보였던 작업을 새롭게 해석하여 재현하게 된다. 개인전 형식으로 구성되는 이번 전시에서 1층 공간을 점유하는 김소라 작가는 2004년 <안타르티카>에서 선보였던 ‘라이브러리 프로젝트’를 리바이벌하여 100명의 기부자에게서 받은 책들을 아트선재센터의 아카이브 자료와 함께 전시하고, 전시기간 동안 발생한 프로그램을 진행할 예정이다.

Sora Kim will participate in the group exhibition titled Connect 1: Still Acts – Sora Kim, Lee Bul and Chung Seoyoung at the Art Sonje Center from August 27th to November 20th. As a research project in the survey of the history and collections of Art Sonje Center, the first part of Connect series starts this year. Sora Kim, Lee Bul and Chung Seoyoung have been selected for the project and will re-contextualize an overview of the programs that took place at the institution between 1998 and 2004. Constructed as a form of solo exhibitions, Sora Kim’s Library (2004) will be placed on the ground floor and the work will be reinterpreted from an earlier version presented at her exhibition Antarctica held in 2004. Books that were donated from 100 people will be displayed as well as the archives of Art Sonje Center and additional programs will take place.
