국제갤러리의 구본창은2016년 9월 1일부터 10월 2일까지 바스크 지방에서 개최되는 사진 페스티벌 헷소 포토(Gexto Photo)에 참가한다. 올해로 10회를 맞는 헷소 포토는 도시 내 상점, 중앙 광장의 창가, 부둣가의 컨테이너 등의 20여개 전시장에 선별된 작품들을 전시하며 시민들과 교감하고 소통하는 전시를 이끌어왔다. Zabala & Torrene거리의 가로등과Algorta & Bilbao 연안의 바에 전시되는 구본창의 비누 시리즈는 쓰다 남은 비누의 하찮은 물체가 갖는 간소함의 미학을 기록한 작품이다.
Bohnchang Koo will participate in Getxo Photo, taking place in Basque Country from September 1 to October 2, 2016. At its tenth anniversary this year, Getxo Photo has heretofore organized exhibitions that communicate and connect with the public in approximately twenty locations in Basque Country. Works are installed in spaces such as shops, a window overlooking the central plaza, or a container at the quayside. Bohnchang Koo's Soap series, which will be exhibited beside a street light on Zabala & Torrene Street and at a bar on the Algorta & Bilbao coast, records the aesthetic simplicity of the deteriorating form of used soap.
