국제갤러리 이현숙 회장, ArtReview < 2016 Power 100 >에 선정

국제갤러리 이현숙 회장은 세계적으로 영향력있는 미술인 100명을 선정하는 영국의 현대미술지 < 2016 Power 100>에 선정되었다. 한국인으로는 유일하게 이름을 올린 이현숙 회장은 지난 해에 이어 2년 연속 선정되었으며 5순위 오른 77위를 기록했다. < 2016 Power 100 >은 작가, 예술가, 큐레이터, 비평가로 구성된 16명의 심사 위원단이 지난 12달동안의 활동을 종합 평가하여 선정하게 되며, 올해 1위로는 서펜타인 갤러리 디렉터 한스 울리히 오브리스트가 차지했다.

Hyun-sook Lee, founder and chairwoman of Kukje Gallery, has appeared on the 2016 Power 100, an annual list of the most influential figures of the art world as selected by the British arts magazine, ArtReview. Lee has appeared twice on the list consecutively, and this year she is ranked at 77, which is five above that of last year. She is the only Korean to make the list. The 2016 Power 100 has been selected by a jury of sixteen artists, authors, critics and curators, who holistically analyze the activities of these arts celebrities each year. Hans Ulrich Obrist, the Artistic Director of Serpentine Galleries, topped the list this year.
