로니 혼은 10월 2일부터 2017년 1월 1일까지 바이엘러 미술관에서 개인전 <Roni Horn>을 개최한다. 이번 전시에는 지난 20여년간의 작업물 중 사진 시리즈, 종이 작업, 유리 조각 등으로 구성되며, 최초로 공개되는 작품도 포함된다. 정체성과 이변성(mutability)을 주제로 작업해 온 로니 혼은 초상화 형식으로 동일 인물의 다른 모습을 포착해 두폭화로 전시하는 ‘aka (also known as)’ 시리즈와 아이슬랜드 여행 중에 영감을 받아 제작한 ‘’Water Doubles’ (2013-2016)을 통해서 그가 추구하는 작품세계를 엿볼 수 있다.
Roni Horn will hold a solo exhibition, Roni Horn, from October 2, 2016, to January 1, 2017, at the Foundation Beyeler. This exhibition will feature her photography series, works on paper, glass objects, and also include never-seen-before works. Horn, who has continuously dealt with identity and mutability in her works, will exhibit her a.k.a (also known as) series, which is a diptych of different pictures of the same person. Another line of work to be exhibited, Water Doubles (2013-2016), inspired during one of her travels in Iceland, also explores Horn’s artistic objectives.
