양혜규는 11월 17일 마닐라의 현대미술디자인박물관 (Museum of Contemporary Art and Design)에서 개최되는 아티스트 토크 프로그램 <Lingering Nous by Haegue Yang>에 참여한다. 공산품을 이용한 대형 설치 작품부터 손뜨개, 종이접기와 같은 전통적인 매체를 주재료로 제작되는 조각 작업 등으로 잘 알려진 양혜규는 필리핀에서 처음으로 작가의 작업을 소개하는 자리를 갖는다. 아티스트 토크 프로그램에서는 올해 개최한 개인전 <Quasi-Pagan Minimal>, <Quasi-Pagan Serial>, <Lingering Nous>과 지난 20여년의 주요 작품들을 다룰 예정이다.
Haegue Yang will present at an artist talk program, Lingering Nous by Haegue Yang, at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design in Manila, on November 17. Yang, who is widely known for her sculptures ranging from large-scale installations made with manufactured goods to works made with traditional media such as knitting yarn and origami, will introduce her oeuvre in the Philippines for the first time. At this program, the artist will discuss her 2016 solo exhibitions Quasi-Pagan Minimal, Quasi-Pagan Serial, and Lingering Nous, along with other important works from the past twenty years of her career.
