국제갤러리의 Sasa[44]는 윤지원, 제삼의 독자들(김학량, 이정민, 현시원)과 함께 서울시립미술관 아카이브 조성 사업의 일환으로 기획되는 전에 참여한다. 1988년 서울시립미술관의 개관 이래의 전시들을 선별하여 미술관의 역사를 조명하고, 이와 관련된 문서, 도록, 기사, 인터뷰 등의 다양한 자료를 통해 미술관의 기능과 역할의 변화, 기관과 전시의 역학 관계를 살펴본다. Sasa[44]는 미술관 관장들의 재임기 동안 중요한 사건들을 상징적으로 보여주는 오브제, 기록, 인터뷰 발췌문을 비롯 개인의 배경과 성격을 드러내는 요소들을 조합하여 미술관에서 익명으로 등장하는 역대 관장들을 위한 훈장을 만들었다. 전시는 12월 13일부터 내년 3월 26일까지 진행된다.
Sasa[44] will participate in a group exhibition titled SeMA EXHIBITION ARCHIVE 1988-2016: READING WRITING SPEAKING, curated as part of the archive construction at the Seoul Museum of Art (hereafter SeMA). Along with Sasa[44], artists Yoon Jeewon and The Third Readers (consisting of Kim Hak-Lyang, Joungmin Yi, Seewon Hyun), among others, will also participate. This exhibition will focus on select SeMA exhibitions since its opening in 1988 and will display various resources such as documents, catalogues, articles, and interviews that inspect the constantly shifting roles and duties of the museum and the dynamic relationship between the institution and its exhibitions. Sasa[44] will display a medal dedicated to directors who have served SeMA throughout its history. The medal is a combination of elements, which reveal each director’s background and personality, such as objets, records, and excerpts of interviews. This exhibition will take place from December 13, 2016 to March 26, 2017.
