국제갤러리의 양혜규는 2017년 3월 18일부터 6월 11일까지 홍콩 Para Site에서 개최되는 그룹전 <Soil and Stones, Souls and Songs>에 참여한다. Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD)에서 개최된 바 있으며 올해 홍콩에서 두번째로 선보인다.
Haegue Yang participates in Soil and Stones, Souls and Songs, a traveling group exhibition taking place from March 18 to June 11 at Para Site, Hong Kong. The first installation of this exhibition was held last year at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) in Manila, the Philippines and the second is held in Hong Kong. Showcasing works by thirty-six contemporary artists, this exhibition explores the overlapping tensions and narratives found today in the realities, artistic and cultural production, and contemporary thought in the Asian sphere. Included in this exhibition, Haegue Yang’s The Intermediate series explores folk concepts that have their own independent identity yet retain a certain universality that transcends cultural diversity. Yang also exhibits works from her Trustworthy and The Intermediate series at the Kukje Gallery/Tina Kim Gallery booth at Art Basel Hong Kong as well as participates in an artist talk hosted by the Union Bank of Switzerland.
