구본창, 페루카톨릭대학교의 문화예술센터에서 개최되는 그룹전 <TIME>에 참가 | KUKJE GALLERY

국제갤러리의 구본창은 2017년 3월 17일부터 9월 3일까지 페루의 수도 리마에 위치한 페루 카톨릭 대학교의 문화예술센터에서 (El Centro Cultural de Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) 개최하는 그룹전 <TIME>에 참가한다. 이번 전시는 모든 사람들에게 공통적으로 영향을 끼치고 과거, 현재, 미래를 아우르며 존재와 사건의 무기한적인 흐름을 주도하는 ‘시간’을 주제로 한다. 세계 각지에서 초대된 10명의 사진작가들의 작품으로 구성된 본 전시에서는 눈에 보이지 않는 속성을 지니고 있는 ‘시간’과 시간의 흐름을 사진이란 매체를 통해 조명하고 가시화해 소통 가능한 상태로 전환시켜 보여준다. 이번 전시에서 구본창은 쓰고 남은 비누라는 하찮은 물체가 지니고 있는 간소함의 미학을 기록한 비누시리즈 작품을 선보일 예정이다.

Koo Bohnchang participates in TIME, taking place from March 17 to September 3, 2017, at El Centro Cultural de Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima, Peru. This exhibition is centered on the theme of ‘time,’ as an indefinite, continued progress of existence as well as the events from the past through the present to the future that equally affect all people. Consisting of works by ten photographers from all over the world, the show highlights the invisible passage of time as it is reflected and suggested through photography. Koo includes works from his Soap series, which records the aesthetic simplicity of the deteriorating form of used soap.
