홍승혜는 경기도 헤이리마을에 위치한 아트센터 화이트블럭에서 그룹전 《온도의 환기_네 개의 방》에 참가한다. 공간과의 접점에서 끊임없이 다른 변모를 추구하는 중견작가 4명은 공간의 크기, 부피, 동선, 빛의 흐름 등 서로 다른 4개 공간의 특성에 따라 개개인의 성향에 맞는 방을 선택하여 공간의 각기 다른 ‘온도’를 표현하는 작품들을 선보인다. 오랫동안 조형미술의 기하학 유형을 유기적인 형태로 다양하게 펼쳐온 홍승혜는 자신의 감정과 기억에 관한 스토리텔링으로 풀어내고, 여기에 소리로서의 음(작곡 소프트웨어인 스튜디오 ‘개러지밴드 GarageBand’에서 만든 음원)과 움직임(가무, 플래시 애니메이션)으로서의 리듬을 삽입한 작품을 보여준다. 작가는 이 높고 깊은 공간의 울림을 하나의 무대로 설정하여 최소한의 움직임으로 관객과 하나가 되는 꿈을 이루고, 동시에 되돌릴 수 없는 영혼의 기억을 되돌려 놓고 싶은 간절함의 무대로 상정한다.

Hong Seung-Hye is featured in Ventilation of Temperature_Four Rooms, a group exhibition at Art Center White Block located in the Heyri Art Valley, Gyeonggi-do. Four acclaimed artists, who constantly experiment and transform their relationship to space in their works, each chose a choice exhibition space from the four rooms at the art center that each possess different sizes, volume, circuits, and lighting. The artists then produced works that portray the different “temperatures” of each room. Hong Seung-Hye, who explores geometric patterns with organic forms in her longstanding practice, unravels her sentiments and memories through storytelling. Her installation at Ventilation of Temperature_Four Rooms includes a sound piece combining music from the artist's work with the music composition software 'Studio GarageBand' with the rhythmic choreography formed with flash animation. The artist establishes the large space as a single stage that yearns to reminisce spiritual experiences and memories that cannot be reincarnated, seeking to connect with the audience while refraining from encroaching onto their space.
