국제갤러리 전속작가 정연두는 미국 콜로라도 대학 미술관에서 열리는 전에 참여한다. 전시된 일련의 작품들은 현실과 판타지의 결합을 보여 주는 사진, 비디오, 장소 특정적 설치작업, 그리고 조각들로 창조적이고 개념적으로 인간 행동과 오브제를 비춰내며 신비롭고 아이러니한, 합성 현실로 관객을 인도한다. 한국문화예술위원회를 포함한 총 일곱 곳의 단체에서 후원하는 이번 전시는 급부상 중인 한국인 작가들이 개척한 새로운 예술의 형태를 접할 수 있는 독특한 기회를 제공함으로써 현재 현대 한국 미술의 위치를 재고할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 정연두 작가는 캠프파이어를 하거나 등산을 하는 그리운 이미지들을 보여주는 사진 시리즈 <사춘기>를 선보인다.

Kukje Gallery is pleased to announce Yeondoo Jung’s participation in at the Colorado University Art Museum in Colorado. A series of works on view, spanning photography, video, site-specific installation, and sculpture, present objects and human behaviors through a creative and conceptual kaleidoscope and lead visitors to into a mysterious, ironic, and hybrid reality. Generously sponsored in part by both Korean and American associations including Arts Council Korea, this exhibition comments on the contemporary state of South Korean art by offering a unique opportunity to experience new art forms by Korean artists working in Seoul. In this exhibition, Yeondoo Jung presents nostalgic images – sitting around a campfire or mountaineering – from his photograph series .
