국제갤러리 전속작가 정연두는 제 4회 일본 에비수 국제 페스티벌에 참여한다. 에비수 국제 아트 페스티벌의 올해 테마인 “How physical”은 다양한 물질적 조건들에 따른 이미지의 변성을 통해 근본적 이미지의 실체를 환기시킨다. 일본과 다양한 국적을 지닌 작가들의 작품을 통해 이번 페스티벌은 우리가 인식하고 경험하는 이미지, 그리고 이것이 미치는 영향에 중점을 둔 관점에서 이미지를 고찰한다. 이번 페스티벌에서 정연두 작가는 가상과 현실이 혼재된 상태에서 현실을 표현하는 영상 작품 <공중 정원>을 선보인다.

Kukje Gallery is pleased to announce Yeondoo Jung’s participation in International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2012. This year’s theme, “How Physical”, aims to highlight the fundamental physical reality of images, to the fact that the very existence of images depends on a variety of material conditions (people, society, the environment, hardware, media, photography, economy distribution, energy…) Through the works of international and Japanese artists, it examines image from perspectives that focus on the ways in which we perceive and experience images and their physical effects upon us. For this festival, Yeondoo Jung presents his video work which combines the real and fake, portraying the co-existence of reality and fiction.
