Kukje Gallery 25th Anniversary Exhibition | KUKJE GALLERY

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Kukje Gallery is proud to present a group show in its newly inaugurated gallery that features a diverse range of works by many of the distinguished and influential international artists who have been a part of the gallery’s program over the past two-and-a-half decades. Many of these works were selected by the artists themselves for inclusion in this exhibition.
Since opening in 1982, Kukje Gallery has established itself as a leading venue for both Korean and international contemporary art. In addition to its work promoting its Korean artists abroad, the gallery has an unmatched reputation for bringing the work of many the most prominent Western artists to Korean audiences.


이번 전시는 갤러리 개관 25주년을 맞이하여 그 동안 국제갤러리가 함께 일해 온 해외 작가들의 작품을 망라하는 자리이다. 이들은 모두 현대미술에 막대한 영향력을 행사한 작가들로 세계적인 명성을 갖고 있으며 그 중 다수는 국내에 여러 차례 소개되어 왔다. 조각, 회화, 비디오 등 다양한 형태의 작품들 30여 점이 전시장 한 곳에서 선보이게 되는 이번 전시는 현대미술의 거장들의 위상을 다시금 엿볼 수 있는 자리이자 국내 관람객들과 컬렉터들에게 수준 높은 작품들을 감상할 수 있는 소중한 기회가 될 것이다.
국제갤러리는 1982년 개관이래 올해로 25주년을 맞이했다. 개관 이후 지금까지 한국의 대표적인 화랑들 중 하나로 국내 작가들의 작품뿐만 아니라 해외 여러 현대미술 작가들의 작품을 접하고 감상할 수 있는 기회를 제공해 옴으로써 국내 미술 시장과 문화 성장을 도모해왔다.
